3rd Annual Autism Community Summit
April 25, 2026
Asia Society Hong Kong CenteR

WHAT is the
Autism Community Summit?

Since its debut in 2024, the Autism Community Summit has become a leading platform for connection, collaboration, and celebration of neurodiversity in Hong Kong.

The Autism Community Summit consists of a series of talks from experts, community leaders, individuals with ASD, affected families, policy makers, and more.

Alongside this, we run a resource-sharing fair where organizations doing excellent work in the ASD community can interact with attendees and spread awareness of their efforts.

We started the ACS in 2024 in response to the fragmented landscape we saw in the ASD
community.

Different experts, even in similar fields like speech therapy and applied behavior analysis, didn’t have a clear space to communicate and share best practices.

Across language barriers or across the public or private divide, the gap was even wider. We saw a dire need to bring these disparate elements together to benefit the wider ASD community.

WHY run the
Autism Community Summit?

2024

Our inaugural summit gathered over 150 attendees across the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community at The Harbour School. Ms. Linda Lam, head of the Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission, commenced the summit with an opening speech and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The summit united important stakeholders across the ASD community – educators, professionals, policymakers, NGOs, individuals with ASD and their families to have collaborative discussions to empower individuals with ASD in all spheres of their lives, including employment, education, assessment and treatment, psychological well-being and community resources.

2025

Held at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, the second annual summit saw a growth with more than 240 attendees. The event spotlighted crucial conversations about inclusion of individuals with ASD across different private and public spaces, such as parenting, vocational training, policing and social perceptions.

Highlights include a Q&A session with the Hong Kong Police Force led by Dr. Amber Perymon-Evans and a Dad’s Panel moderated by Jeff Rotmeyer (Love21).
