Craig Blurton, Ph.D.
Dr. Craig Blurton serves on the Board of both THS and TCI and does volunteer work for both organizations. Dr. Blurton has many years of experience directing large-scale projects and programs for universities, state and national government, and non-profit organizations. Dr. Craig Blurton is Chief Executive Officer of The World Conference Limited (TWC), a Hong Kong-based Internet services company founded in December 2007. Before founding TWC, Craig was the Director of The GLOBE Program (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment), a U.S. government interagency program funded by, among others, NASA, the National Science Foundation and the U.S. State Department, that involved over a million primary and secondary students in more than 16,000 schools in 107 countries worldwide. In his capacity as Director of GLOBE, Dr. Blurton was responsible for managing a $5 million USD annual budget, a staff of 38 professionals, and hundreds of volunteers worldwide. Craig has served as an advisor to the U.S. National Science Foundation, U.S. National Research Council, NASA Headquarters Education Division, and the IBM Corporation as well as serving as a consultant to educational organizations including the University of Copenhagen and Hong Kong Academy. Craig is the author of four book chapters, including one for UNESCO’s 1999 World Communication and Information Report titled “New Directions in Education.” Dr. Blurton earned his doctorate in science education from Arizona State University. He has published over 50 articles and presented his work at more than 100 national and international professional events and meetings.

Elizabeth U. Blurton, Ph.D
Dr. Elizabeth (“Jadis”) Blurton is Principal of The Harbour School (THS). She serves on the Board of both THS and TCI. Dr. Blurton received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, and is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in two states in the United States. She holds Masters degrees in both Special Education and Psychology. Jadis is also a licensed teacher in Hong Kong, and a licensed Montessori teacher. Prior to coming to Hong Kong more than twelve years ago, Jadis worked in a variety of settings, teaching at California State University, the University of Redlands, and the University of California, Riverside, as well as practicing clinically and directing a children's diagnostic clinic. Jadis is also the owner and Clinical Director of Therapy Associates Ltd., a psychological services clinic in Hong Kong that works with many expatriate kids, parents and educators, and offers a variety of psychological testing services for adults, adolescents, and children.
