Mission statement

The Children’s Institute of Hong Kong provides evidence based treatment and education to children with special education needs who range in age from 3 to 11 utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our goal is to offer every child an opportunity to enjoy a life of independence and to develop into a functioning and productive member of society. As each child is unique, we provide individualized instruction that is both effective and efficient.

Our caring professionals focus on each student to enhance and foster his or her maximum potential. We also support our parents and families in helping them to understand the special needs of their children. Families become an equal partner with us in the educational process.

TCI has a special relationship with The Harbour School, a kindergarten and primary international school. Our students participate in their general education classrooms and curricula to the maximum extent appropriate. This provides our students with opportunities to move to lesser restrictive environments as they progress.
